Network Successfully Launched
The Network was officially launched on June the 4th at the Senedd National Assembly for Wales building in Cardiff Bay. A big thank to all the members and partnership agencies who came along to make it such a successful and enjoyable event. Our guest speakers preformed admirably, but the performance of the day has to go to ‘South Wales Gay Men’s Chorus’ who truly brought the house down and attracted quite a few passing members of the public to the event.
We are currently in the process of recruiting as many members as possible so we can deliver as big an impact as possible when we start putting on events for our members. We are glad to say that our poster and flyer campaign is attracting attention and we will soon be in a position to launch our first event for our members.
We are planning social nights in the area to get people together in an informal way and give support to each other as well as receive any support required from our partnership agencies. So I would ask, what would you like to see the Network provide for you? And would you like to get involved in making that happen?
At the end of August we are planning on putting on an all expanses paid (many thanks to the sponsor RCT Homes) camping trip to Tenby where we will be putting on not just fun activities for our members, but also offering practical advice workshops for those who require them. Don’t worry about equipment for camping etc, all will be provided. Places are limited so get in touch soon to avoid disappointment!
