South Wales Police

South Wales Police is committed to making all of our communities safe for people from all walks of life. As an organisation we recognise that there is no one size fits all when it comes to the policing of our communities and we tailor our response to the individuals who contact us.

Hate Crime is of particular concern as it is the perpetrators prejudice towards the victim that is the motivation for the targeting of the victim. Within Hate Crime is a specific recognition of the fact that some people are targeted because they are Lesbian, Gay Bi Sexual or Transgendered and in order to support these victims South Wales Police has dedicated Hate Crime Officers in every division to assist them. As an organisation South Wales Police actively encourage the reporting of Hate Crime to enable us to obtain an accurate picture of the problem and to respond accordingly.

As an organisation we are delighted to support and be a key member of the Rhondda L.G.B.T. Support Network, and will provide all the assistance we can to enable the network to grow; to provide the support and reassurance for all Lesbian, Gay, Bi Sexual or Transgendered people living in South Wales.
